This is TEMPORARY, FULL TIME POSITION.  The position will be at a minimum until November or December 2017, depending on the business needs.  

Responsibilities

Meritage Homes (Meritage) is looking for an IT Intern to support the helpdesk to completes company service requests in a timely and thorough manner consistent with Network Services quality standards and procedures. Works under general supervision and demonstrates in-depth problem solving and critical reasoning skills.  Possesses excellent communication skills and is responsive to end user needs while maintaining a high degree of professionalism and customer service.

 

This is TEMPORARY, FULL TIME POSITION.  The position will be at a minimum until November or December 2017, depending on the business needs.  

 

Schedule will be Monday - Friday.  Work hours can be flexible, 7 AM - 4 PM; or 8 AM - 5 PM; or 9 AM - 6 PM.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related degree
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills
  • Is able to manage expectations with multiple company functions
  • Able to sit for extended periods; frequently stand and walk; normal manual dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination; lift and move objects weighing up to 25 lbs.; corrected hearing and vision to normal range; verbal communication; use of office equipment, including computer, telephone, etc.

The following knowledge or skills are preferred:

 

  • Systems Monitoring and Management – upon identification of a problem, utilizes training and education to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Resolve Desktop Issues – Resolves desktop issues by analyzing problems.
  • Design and Deploy New Community Networks – determines configurations based on requirements and makes recommendations to management.
  • Working experience with an IT ticketing system (JIRA, ServiceNow, etc.)
