Responsibilities

Meritage Homes is looking for a Regional Marketing Specialist to support marketing efforts in the South Region (GA, TN, NC, SC).  Position will be based in the Atlanta office with regular travel within the region required.  Attendance may be required at some weekend and evening events. 

 

The Regional Marketing Specialist will:

 

  • Provide general and specialized marketing support to the Regional Marketing Director as well as to the divisional marketing teams
  • Perform community audits and coordinate efforts to ensure compliance with brand guidelines and company standards
  • Assist the divisions in the new community opening process (planning, execution, follow-up)
  • Coordinate the rollout of national programs and initiatives within the region and provide support to the local divisions as needed
  • Identify and implement process improvements for new community openings and program rollouts
  • Prepare and/or coordinate collateral, signage and other marketing materials to support national and local efforts
  • Provide second-level review of divisional creative materials prior to distribution
  • Provide planning, coordination and execution support for divisional Realtor and consumer events and initiatives
  • Provide interim coverage if needed for open marketing positions within the region
  • Complete special projects as requested

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of marketing experience, preferably in homebuilding or real estate.
  • Previous experience working in a field marketing role strongly preferred
  • Advanced computer skills with expertise in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel), eblast systems, photo editing and website content management systems
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with keen attention to detail; ability to edit and proofread materials for grammar and content a must
  • Must be able to learn quickly and work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Proactive self-starter with strong project management skills who can work independently within established parameters
