  • Work with purchasing staff to support division operational goals
  • Be responsible for reviewing and adjusting budgets.
  • Provide budget maintenance on a monthly schedule to ensure all budgets are in alignment with current contracts
  • Maintains and supplies weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting as needed to support decision making
  • Work with National team to maximize rebate collection. Make every effort to incorporate nationally contracted products into base and option offerings
  • Manage all contract documents including the preparation of plans and documentation for bid process; verify accuracy and completeness of all documents.
  • Assist in base cost and option price analysis. (More emphasis in new communities).
  • Review plans, scopes-of-work, and specifications for accuracy.
  • Assist in end-of month cost-off process to get accruals for current month closings.
  • Be responsible for high volumes of data entry.
  • Research and resolve vendor disputes, including product or pricing issues, and contract discrepancies.


Interpersonal/Communication Skills:

  • Strong Communication, Interpersonal, and Customer Service skills,
  • Ability to explain complex issues in a manner easily understood by industry personnel and customers with limited knowledge of construction processes or terminology
  • Ability to work with contractors, laborers, employees at all levels, and customers with a high degree of professionalism    
  • Good problem/conflict resolution skills with the ability to influence others and manage conflict in a positive manner
  • Must be able to analyze multiple variables, construction deficits or product problems to determine the root cause, and determine solutions to produce the desired outcome
  • Good leadership skills; ability to set priorities, and manage projects through all phases of completion



  • 1+ years’ experience in an administrative role.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products especially Excel.
  • Experience with Build-Pro, Salesforce, and JD Edwards software a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret blue prints and other construction documents.
  • Experience with large project bidding and bid events a plus.
  • Enjoy a fast paced, high-volume work environment.
  • Work well within several departments outside the Purchasing Department.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Proactive in addressing questions and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Can work independently as well as with a team.
