Responsibilities

Our Tucson/Active Adult division is seeking a Finance/Land Analyst to join the team.  This is a brand new role for the division!  In this role, you will:

 

  • Support the Tucson team with financial analysis and reporting
  • Review monthly financial statements, project pro formas, backlog reports, and other key indicator reports
  • Assist in the preparation and review of Quarterly Forecasts and Annual Business Plans
  • Assist in the preparation of feasibility modeling for land acquisition transactions
  • Prepare supplementary reports and analyses for management
  • Update divisional key indicator reports
  • Development of financial models and scenario analysis to drive decision making and improved performance
  • Assist with pricing updates, lot releases, and MLS updates
  • Gather, compile and analyse information to complete the research and financial analysis of land
  • Prepare monthly Pro forma updates and prepare assigned sections of corporate approval packages
  • Coordinate with Engineers to provide updated exhibits for land package
  • Perform ad hoc analysis as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or Master’s degree a plus.
  • Homebuilding industry experience a plus but not required
  • High-level Excel user with the ability to generate scenarios analysis and spreadsheet models efficiently.
  • Hands-on experience with budgeting/forecasting software and JD Edwards/PeopleSoft or SAP/Business Objects experience preferred
  • Advanced computer skills with expertise in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong written/oral and interpersonal communication skills; ability to communicate in a professional manner with all levels in the organization, with a customer service focus
  • Ability to write and communicate complex information and procedures in an easily comprehensible manner
