    ESCROW COORDINATOR

     

    As an Escrow Coordinator you'll be involved in the critical steps necessary to welcome our customers into their new homes.  You'll have the opportunity to work closely with a variety of individuals and collaborate with other team members as you execute your responsibilities with a high sense of urgency.  You’ll have the opportunity to cross-train and learn many aspects of the residential building industry, but your primary responsibilities will be:

     

     

    Initial Purchase Agreement Audit & Selection Order Processing

    • Assist and Responsible for the initial review and processing/distribution of Purchase Agreements and Exhibits, ensuring any errors are corrected. Prepare the Purchase Agreement for Finance Director or Division President Signature. Once fully executed, distribute to Escrow/Title, Sales, and Lender.  Ensure accuracy of and daily updates to Salesforce and JDEdwards/Enterprise One systems.
    • Follow up and monitor Purchase Agreements errors or items missing (Contract Exceptions) – issue a Contract Exception and monitor the receipt/return of the Contract Exception from the Sales Associate, on a weekly basis, if applicable.
    • Monitor receipt of incoming Purchase Agreements and Cancellations on a weekly basis.
    • Process customer deposits.
    • Respond to calls from various parties (Sales, Construction, Lender, Escrow/Title Company, HOA/Management, etc.) and resolve or refer to the appropriate person or department.
    • Monitor and audit various documents to ensure compliance in SalesForce.
    • Track conditional loan approvals and follow-up with outstanding approvals, accordingly.
    • Conduct initial and final review of Design Center paperwork (Selection Orders-Buyer Options), reconciliation of option deposits, and routing of final paperwork to various departments for processing. Process for Finance Director or Division President's signature and send out to lenders and title companies.
    • Provide Sales, Lender, Title Company, Design Center, Mortgage, and Construction personnel with the various sales and escrow documents, Options Contracts and amendment packages.
    • Assist and Monitor and ensure the sales department is in compliance with all audit requirements.
    • Assist and Comply with periodic internal and audit requirements.
    • Responsible for participating in and following up on items discussed in weekly backlog status meetings.

    Qualifications

    Education:   High School Diploma, 2 or more years of college, preferred

     

    Experience/Knowledge:

    Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an office support position
    Must have at least one (1) year of experience in homebuilding, real estate, lender or escrow fields.
    Professional image.
    Good understanding of the escrow process and documentation, including purchase documents, options selections, loan requirements and closing procedures.
     

    Technical Skills: 

    Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including, Word, Excel, and Outlook
    Experience with Peoplesoft and Constellation/Salesforce or similar database systems preferred
    Interpersonal/Communication Skills:

    Strong written/verbal communication skills, proofreading skills, and telephone skills 
    Excellent Interpersonal and Customer Service 
    Personal maturity; position requires the ability to react and respond favorably, and communicate in a professional manner with confidence and tact
    Frequent interactions with a wide variety of other external and internal contacts with all levels of authority and responsibility
    Team Player; with a demonstrated ability to work within cross-functional teams
