  • Responsibilities

    Meritage Homes is looking for a Customer Care Coordinator for our Southern California office. Our office is located in Irvine.  The Customer Care Coordinator is the initial point of contact for homeowners. This position directs the flow of information from the homeowner to construction managers and customer care associates and processes all information related to warranty service. You will coordinate duties related to managing customers warranty files as well as warranty processes and documentation.

     

    Warranty Duties

    • Answer homeowner and vendor questions and assist with the understanding of warranty guidelines
    •  
    • Manage warranty service requests via email and the Meritage website
    • Communicate with construction, warranty, and sales personnel to expedite warranty requests
    • Verify close of escrow dates to ensure warranty requests are valid
    • Ensure all customer care actions are aligned with current Meritage Homes’ warranty process guidelines
    • Input data, generate, process and distribute service requests and work orders in a timely manner
    • Maintain and track information using the E1 People Soft System
    • Oversee the emergency process by following up on all emergency calls, creating warranty requests and assisting field personnel to complete emergency repairs
    • Receive and direct calls from subcontractors
    • Document scanning, filing, administrative support.

    Additional Duties - Office Support

    • Be the first point of contact when visitors come to the office
    • Will be seated at the front reception desk to greet guest and accept packages.
    • Will provide minimal support to the Administrative Services Manager.

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required. College preferred.
    • 3 - 5 yrs customer service experience.
    • Home building experience or knowledge is desirable.
    • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task.
    • Ability to explain complex issues in a manner easily understood by industry personnel and customers with limited knowledge of construction processes or terminology.
    • Ability to set priorities, and manage projects through all phases of completion.
