  • Responsibilities


    • Post sales transactions
    • Maintain monthly accruals and recurring journal entries
    • Prepare monthly Land Draws and required monthly and quarterly reporting
    • Responsible for the monthly financial report preparation, timely and accurate reporting
    • Complete monthly supplemental schedules
    • Validate monthly divisional activity
    • Record cash receipts and reconcile earnest money deposits
    • Monitor fixed asset additions, deletions, and reconciliations
    • Prepare account reconciliations
    • Attends land development budget reviews
    • Attends common cost and project marketing budget reviews
    • Manage daily cash activity, wires and transfers
    • Resolve accounting issues as they arise
    • Follow-up on discrepancies and Ad hoc financial analysis
    • Demonstrate good communication and customer service skills with individuals both within and outside the organizatioN


    • B.A. in Accounting preferred
    • CPA preferred
    • Strong communication/client interaction skills required
    • 3-5 years experience as an accountant required. Homebuilding experience preferred
    • Computer experience and knowledge in Microsoft Office products including Word. Extensive Excel experience required
    • JD Edwards (E1) experience preferreD
