    Our So Cal division is seeking a dynamic, seasoned Sales Leader.   The ideal candidate has been a Sales Leader in the hombuilding industry for at least 5 years.  In this role, you will: 


    Primary Responsibilities

    • Provide on-going mentoring, motivating, coaching, training, and feedback to sales staff. This position requires spending the majority of time in the field, visiting and inspecting sales offices and communities for improvement opportunities.
    • Continual evaluation of Sales Counselors' performance, including goal-setting (long and short term), evaluation of performance against these goals, follow-up - improvement programs and regular progress reports - feedback
    • Review sales numbers for the business regularly (prices, inventory, backlog, etc.) and use them to evaluate the effectiveness of sales incentives and programs.
    • Responsible for development of key realtor relationships and outreach to ensure increased traffic and conversion rates
    • Understand market conditions and market data, convey to sales team to maximize their ability to sell
    • Work with Sales Counselors to drive on-time closings
    • Keep current on mortgage (i.e. current rates and programs offered), drive the selling of payment
    • Schedule and facilitate Sales Meetings
    • Assist with candidate identification and interviewing


    Secondary Responsibilities

    • Assist Division President in recommending sales releases for all subdivisions
    • Assist Human Resources in the selection process by identifying talent from competition and interviewing as needed (always have an active “top prospect list”) from competitors you are cultivating
    • Responsible for cost controls pursuant to budgets, recommend spending on incentives, compensation, etc.
    • Ensures compliance with all regulatory policies and procedures for sales and escrow process
    • Monitor inventory status of all homes; inspect complete homes for quality of show to prospective buyers
    • Become a subject matter expert in product (Plans, Specifications, Community, Etc.)
    • Attend Leadership Meetings as needed


    • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business or related field preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the homebuilding industry.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Sales Management role.
    • Experience in coaching, managaging, and mentoring in a public homebuilding environment.

    Must have a California real estate license.
