Meritage Homes is looking for a Land Developemnt Coordinator to support the Land Development leadership team by coordinating all administrative tasks related to the successful execution of budgeting, invoicing and contracting as well as coordinating all associated compliance activities for the development of land in new and existing communities. The nd Developemnt Coordinator will:- Set up new vendors for the Land Department- Prepare and ensure timely execution of all contracts for the land department- Maintain all contract files as a hard copy and in E1, ensuring at all times that the commitment in E1 matches the current land development contract amount (reimbursements, etc)- Process all payments and change orders- Work with A/P on land vendor statements, lien releases- Maintain and update all land development budgets with information provided by Land Development Managers- Assist Director of Land Development in completing quarterly cash flow projections for all land development jobs, including working with Land Development managers to understand the scope, budget and timing of cash flow for each community- Assist Land Development Managers in the preparation of bid analysis’, ensuring the analysis is supported by proper documentation as required by company policy- Collect fee information from municipalities- Update and distribute new community timelines
- Serve as the data management financial person on site for the Division Controller and to the Division Management.- Serve as a strategic business partner to management from operational and financial perspectives.- Support financial meetings with Management on a monthly basis by providing accurate and timely financial information, comparisons, key indicators, etc.- Support the preparation of the Division's yearly/quarterly business plans.- Manage the updating of weekly reports in the Regional “G” drive in a prompt, timely and accurate manner (i.e. Price tracker, sales reports, etc.).- Continuously review procedures and internal controls to mitigate the risk of any material weakness in internal control occurring. Update policy and procedure narratives quarterly.- Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills with individuals to internal customers.- Continuously evaluate all operating procedures in terms of control, efficiency and quality of output.- Interface with all other managers both inside and outside of the Accounting/Finance Department in order to learn all financial aspects of the homebuilding business from a data management perspective.- At all times, exercise good judgment in the use of confidential information.- Follow up on discrepancies and Ad hoc financial analyses as necessary.
Our Tucson division is seeking a Land Leader to manage all Land Development activities. Specifically:- Coordinate all Land Development activities with Division Operations team and ensure compliance with Division Business Plan.- Ensure that land development policies, internal control procedures and practices are well understood and complied with by all direct and indirect reports.- Manage the technical due diligence process and coordinate with Division Land Acquisition team during feasibility period.- Approve preliminary entitlement and land development budgets and schedules for all Division land acquisitions. - Approve final quantity take-offs and final project LD budgets.- Provide leadership/manage the entitlement process for all Division land acquisitions.- Provide leadership throughout the bidding and contracting of all Division land development projects. Approve and execute all land development vendor agreements. - Provide leadership/manage the resolution of entitlement issues and conditions prior to and during development. - Coordinate technical due diligence with Land Acquisition team during feasibility analysis and due diligence phase.- Review and approve all periodic financial reports on each phase of development, and continually review all accounting relative to land efforts.- Understand design related components necessary to satisfy governmental entitlement requirements. Remain constantly aware of ever changing market conditions and trends in the industry. - Perform quarterly and annual performance reviews/updates with all direct reports. Attend/provide input for all quarterly and annual performance reviews with indirect reports.
