The Meritage Homes Internship program allows driven college/grad students the opportunity to gain experience with a National New Home Builder leading to possible future opportunities within the Meritage Homes family. The internship program uses your pursuit of education to drive you to a company where you can take your in class learning to hands-on applications. The Construction Intern will manage the new home construction process within assigned communities. Responsible for ensuring homes are delivered within specific cycle time and budget targets as well as customer quality expectations when closed. Responsible for maintaining customer satisfaction goals and providing needed customer care/warranty services in assigned communities. The Construction Intern will work with and learn: - The permitting and building inspection process through the local jurisdiction(s)- Building plans, materials and specifications- All Meritage processes required to build our homes- Proper scheduling and quality improvement systems- Storm water pollution prevention and safety programs- Customer satisfaction programs including all customer points of contact- The Meritage Green System- The Meritage Customer Service program
- Manage homebuilding construction through all phases to ensure the delivery of a quality home.- Schedule subcontractors and delivery dates for materials.- Ensure all building codes and Meritage Home standards of quality are met.- Conduct walk-through inspections and other scheduled inspections with the homeowner. - Communicate safety standards to laborers and sub-contractors; enforces safety regulations on all job sites. - Maintain a clean and organized jobsite and subdivision.- Interact daily with various departments of company, subcontractors, customers, and city inspectors.- Attend Construction, monthly and quarterly meetings.

This position is designed to allow previous “top producers” an opportunity to get back into new home sales. An Outside Sales Specialist is a 40-hour per week Sales Associate that travels between communities to provide coverage. Outside Sales Specialist will mostly work weekdays but some weekends and holidays may be required. Locations and schedules will be consistent but are subject to change, with notice, according to need. Outside Sales Specialists will be expected to be familiar with all communities within their Division, so they can step in wherever needed. This position may offer the opportunity of moving up into an Outside Sales Counselor role over time.
