- Manage homebuilding construction through all phases to ensure the delivery of a quality home.- Schedule subcontractors and delivery dates for materials.- Ensure all building codes and Meritage Home standards of quality are met.- Conduct walk-through inspections and other scheduled inspections with the homeowner. - Communicate safety standards to laborers and sub-contractors; enforces safety regulations on all job sites. - Maintain a clean and organized jobsite and subdivision.- Interact daily with various departments of company, subcontractors, customers, and city inspectors.- Attend Construction, monthly and quarterly meetings.
Meritage Homes is looking for a Purchasing Agent to support our XXX Division. This person will:- Research and resolve Vendor disputes; including product or pricing issues, and invoice and contract discrepancies and coordinate pricing adjustments when necessary- Build and maintain effective relationships with trade partners to better meet bidding and production requirements- Work collaboratively with other departments, including land development, construction, marketing, finance, and design, to ensure all internals goals and deadlines are met- Communicate product changes to Sales, Construction, and Subcontractors- Initiate bid events with subcontractors, perform bid analysis, and create and compile contract confirmations as well as all backup as necessary for audit compliance- Assist in base cost and option price analysis- Assist in reviewing house budgets to verify accurate base house and margin costs- Assist in end-of-month cost-off process to get accruals for current month closings
Closing/Escrow Coordination- Maintain all open and closed escrow files and ensure proper filing - Maintain and manage permits, termite reports and city finals- Maintain and manage grant deeds- Maintain system notes and updates- Maintain and manage all deposit logs.- Receive and review HUDS, seller docs and FSPs before each closing- Send letters to Buyers for non-performance once the communication with the Buyer by Sales has occured- Advise Senior Management of potential escrow/closing problems - presenting solutions

An Outside Sales Specialist is a 40-hour per week Sales Associate that travels between communities to provide coverage. Outside Sales Specialist will mostly work weekdays but some weekends and holidays may be required. Locations and schedules will be consistent but are subject to change, with notice, according to need. Outside Sales Specialists will be expected to be familiar with all communities within their Division, so they can step in wherever needed. This position may offer the opportunity of moving up into an Outside Sales Counselor role over time.
