Meritage Homes is looking for a Design Center Manager to organize and maintain the business of Design Center/Studio M. The position is a fully comprehensive role that positions the Design Center/Studio M to be a factor in attaining the Division’s business plan. Utilizes knowledge of daily operations of Design Center/Studio M and understands the coordination required between sales/escrow, purchasing, customer service and accounting. Assist in the recruiting, interviewing, and training of new associates as well as oversee ongoing development of department team. The Design Center Manager will:- Act as liaison between Sales and Construction Departments as required, ensuring schedules are consistently met and proper information is transmitted to the Field- Maintain current products & prices, plus relevant information sheets, price books and brochures- Monitor cancellations, spec to sold, sold to spec homes, ensure selection changes (if applicable) made correctly and in a timely manner- Conduct Design appointments with homebuyers, including providing buyers with product information, available upgrade options, pricing information within buyers’ budget limitations, when necessary- Provide guidance to buyers in selections to satisfy buyers’ requirements. Prepare addendums for contract items for buyers’ review and approval, when necessary- Organize updates and replace showroom samples- Respond to questions and customer concerns from Field, Warranty and contractors on addendum/color selections.- Conduct field visits to review products and provide feedback- Provide training to team members to ensure understanding of Design Center/Studio M operations, products, communication flow, and paperwork- Maintain operations manual documenting all Design Center/Studio M policies and procedures- Meet or exceed expectations set for customer experience scores- Attend Divisional Level meetings as required.- Manage special projects and assignments, frequent and ongoing- Ensure Sales Counselors and Builders are properly establishing expectations with buyers and are providing accurate information regarding Design Center/Studio M operations- Assist with performance reviews of Design Center/Studio M Staff

This position is designed to allow previous “top producers” an opportunity to get back into new home sales. An Outside Sales Specialist is a 40-hour per week Sales Associate that travels between communities to provide coverage. Outside Sales Specialist will mostly work weekdays but some weekends and holidays may be required. Locations and schedules will be consistent but are subject to change, with notice, according to need. Outside Sales Specialists will be expected to be familiar with all communities within their Division, so they can step in wherever needed. This position may offer the opportunity of moving up into an Outside Sales Counselor role over time.
